Jesus taught us to be stewards of His Word, to preach the gospel, to heal the brokenhearted (Soul Wounds healed through Inner Healing) and to set at liberty those who are oppressed (Demonic spirits cast out through Deliverance). This is our commission here at Inner Healing and Deliverance with Global Vision (IHDGV) to not only share God’s word, it is to teach Christians how to be set free through Inner Healing and Deliverance. Our heart is truly about complete healing for your mind, body and soul.
WHAT IS INNER HEALING?
Inner healing is part of Christ's redemptive work on Calvary (Ephesians 1:7) and it has been given to us (Romans 3:22) freely. Through prayer and knowledge of the Word of God our savior Jesus mediates (1 Timothy 2:5) and intercedes on our behalf to the Heavenly Father (Romans 3:24) to heal the deepest wounds to our souls.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:1-2)
Soul wounds are caused by trauma or abuse that is too much for us to handle and cope with. The trauma can be from any age and is usually associated with accidents, physical, verbal and/or sexual abuse, physical pain or any emotional pain that we can’t handle or cope with at that moment.
The way we deal with this trauma is to disassociate. We disassociate by not remembering our past hurts, past hurts caused at any age by friends, family and strangers. Since those past hurts (soul wounds) haven’t been healed by Jesus they open the doorway which gives the enemy a legal right to torment us (Matthew 18:23-35). The enemy torments us through these past soul wounds and it can affect us in our minds (with feelings of hopelessness that bring with it elevated emotions such as depression, fear, anxiety, anger, rejection, abandonment or despair) it can also affect us in our bodies (with sickness, pain, undiagnosed medical conditions or pain or illness that moves around the body).
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. (Psalm 147:3)
There are many names that the psychiatric community has for these wounds: Bipolar, Manic-Depressive, DID (Dissociation Identity Disorder), Alternate Personalities, MPD (Multiple Personality Disorder), PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) to name just a few.
Inner Healing must not be looked at as a once-in-a-life-time event but as part of the ongoing sanctification process (John 17:17). An individual can be instantly set free from a particular bondage by the power of God however; that same individual can have past soul wounds that have not been healed or allow new sin and bondage after inner healing and deliverance.
The Lord replies, “I will arise and defend the oppressed, the poor, the needy. I will rescue them as they have longed for me to do.” The Lord’s promise is sure. He speaks no careless word; all he says is purest truth, like silver seven times refined. (Psalm 12:5-6)
Inner healing is the application of the grace and peace of Jesus Christ to the pain and confusion of the damaged emotional life. The practice of inner healing involves encountering the truth of God and the presence of God in a secure atmosphere of God's love, peace, and healing power through Jesus Christ. The healing process is safe, gentle and confidential.
